An arc welder, also called arc welding machine, is a device used to melt metal. The machine emits an electric arc from electrodes that either melts the metal or supplies filler into the joint between two pieces of metal. Arc welders use a lot of energy to generate the temperatures of up to 3,600ºC needed to melt metal.
